Hotel gold mine

This is an all-call.

This Saturday, May 16, we have the opportunity to replenish our furniture stores with enough to last us another year — but we need your help to get it.

The job is simple. We go to the hotel and break up into 2–3 person teams. All we have to do is go room to room, take what we need, and move it to the hall. Metropolitan Movers and Storage is sending three trucks and a team of professionals who will take it from the halls to the loading dock.

We have lamps, TVs, end tables and chairs. Fortunately, these chairs are much smaller and lighter than the ones we took from the last hotel, so none of it should be a problem. Even if you can’t lift, you can do lamps. We need everybody.

The hotel is in Arlington, so the plan is to meet there at 8:00 (on Saturday there will be no traffic) and get started. Metropolitan arrives at 9:00 and we should be well ahead of them. We know how much will fit into the trucks, so when we reach critical mass, we are done. My guess is everyone should be headed home no later than 9:30 – 10:00. However, if you need to leave earlier than that, feel free to do so. If we have enough people, this should be a breeze.

Jimmy says the Lord will provide, and this hotel opportunity came along, literally, just as we ran out of furniture from the last hotel. I don’t know about you, but I take that as a sign.
